The role

Give your career a fresh start and keep growing professionally at Mapfre Tech! You'll join an international environment where you can innovate by working on global projects focused on the latest technology trends. All of this in a flexible, agile setting surrounded by excellent professionals from around the world... Are you ready?

Alongside the service manager, the engineering platform that enables the organization's software lifecycle: corporate CI/CD,
golden paths, archetypes, self-service infrastructure provisioning, and GitHub Enterprise platform governance. The role is half architect (designs and decides) and half platform engineer (builds and operates), with a platform-as-a-product focus: the platform is the product and the development teams are the customers.

What you'll do

  • Design and evolve corporate CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, reusable workflows) and the archetypes/scaffolding consumed by dozens of teams.
  • Maintain and scale cross-cutting platform services (e.g., centralized CI token provisioning, secrets management, security policies).
  • Define golden paths and standards (GitFlow, Conventional Commits, semantic versioning, release automation) and ensure their adoption.
  • Govern multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) via IaC and orchestrated deployments.
  • Guarantee security, backward compatibility, and developer experience (DevEx) in every platform change.
  • Mentor product teams and act as a technical reference for the organization.

How you'll work

Las Tablas, Madrid.

  • Flexible schedule and remote work (3 days in the office and 2 days of remote work).

Key skills

  • Platform-as-a-product: prioritizes DevEx, measures adoption, and treats teams as customers.

  • Ability to decide with sound judgment (ADRs, documented trade-offs) and to defend decisions before senior profiles.

  • Mentoring and multiplication: raises the team's level, does not create bottlenecks.

  • Pragmatism: the smallest change that solves avoids over-engineering, leaves tests/validation.

  • Autonomy with responsibility over shared production services.
