About the role

Give your career a fresh start and keep growing professionally at Mapfre Tech! You'll join an international environment where you can innovate by working on global projects focused on the latest technology trends. All of this in a flexible, agile setting surrounded by excellent professionals from around the world... Are you ready?

At Mapfre, we are looking for a Senior Engineer who is very hands-on and responsible for ensuring that our Cloud, Automation, and AIOps environments operate with high availability, security, and optimal performance. The main focus of the role will be Azure, working on the migration of LATAM (19 countries) to Azure and the evolution of core projects that will also move to Azure.

What you'll do

On a day-to-day basis, you will manage the operating model for these platforms: availability and performance, updates and patches, access management, incident support, observability, capacity, and automation. You will work within Cloud Enablement, side by side with the Engineering Platform, Security, Architecture, and Development teams to define best practices and remove friction from delivery, evolving operations from a model centered on Jenkins and GitHub toward a more agile, automated, and AIOps-based approach.

Ensure end-to-end operation of automations and CI/CD environments: availability, performance, capacity, continuity, and support.

Administer and evolve the Jenkins platform: version control, plugins, agents/runners, credentials, shared libraries, and hardening.

Administer GitHub at the corporate level: organizations, repositories, policies, permissions, branching, protection, auditing, and lifecycle.

Define and maintain the operating model: monitoring/alerting, logs, runbooks, on-call (if applicable), SLAs/SLOs, and problem management.

Manage changes, patches, and upgrades with a focus on stability and security, coordinating windows and communications.

Ensure integration with corporate services: SSO, identity and access management, secret management, proxy/network, and observability tools.

Drive automation (IaC and scripting) for repeatable deployments, consistent environments, and reduced manual work.

Define standards and "guardrails" for pipelines: best practices, templates, reuse, supply chain security, and quality.

Support development teams: guidance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

Measure and report KPIs: Availability, execution times, reliability, adoption, developer experience, and efficiency.

Nice to have

Certifications or relevant training in DevOps, SRE, security, or platform administration.

Experience in regulated environments with high compliance requirements (auditing, evidence, segregation of duties).

Experience with GitHub Actions and/or complementary CI/CD ecosystems (artifacts, registry, code quality).

Experience integrating Jenkins/GitHub with corporate observability, security, ticketing, and change management tools.

Knowledge of Linux, networking (proxy/DNS/TLS), and container concepts (Docker/Kubernetes) applied to runners/agents.

What you'll get

  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work (3 days in the office and 2 days remote).
  • A flexible compensation package that includes: meal vouchers, childcare vouchers, medical insurance, life insurance, employee discounts, and more. And if you live in Madrid, a company shuttle bus is available to get you to the office.
  • Access to an attractive pension plan.
  • Summer intensive schedule.
  • You'll be in charge of your own learning journey, with access to thousands of resources to keep advancing your technical expertise. Plus, you'll receive an additional €1,100 per year to further develop your skills.
  • 25 vacation days per year (you would receive the proportional days starting from your start date).
  • Additionally, at Mapfre we do not work on December 24, December 31, or January 5.
  • 28 hours per year for personal matters + 3 recoverable days during Easter week.
  • The opportunity to participate in volunteer projects.
  • Free paddle tennis courts and gym.
  • A great place to work! We're ranked among the 50 best companies to work for in Spain according to Forbes magazine.
