The role

Mapfre Global Risks is the MAPFRE Group unit specialized in providing comprehensive and innovative insurance solutions to large companies, addressing the most complex risks present in their activities, and leading international programs through a service network operating in more than 100 countries.

The Claims Area is seeking a Claims Handler to join its team.

Carrying out the management and processing activities for claims files across its various coverages and services, and within the assigned line of business, arising from contracts of an insurance or non-insurance nature, in accordance with regulations, standards, technical guidelines, and directives from the supervisor, with the aim of ensuring the correct and efficient resolution of claims files in terms of cost and time, while meeting service and quality objectives in customer and policyholder care.

What you'll do

Technical management of claims for (Material Damage, General Liability, or Aviation and Transport).
Analysis of facts/causes and their coverage under the policy.
Appointment and management of professionals: Loss Adjusters and/or Lawyers.
Communication and coordination with clients and suppliers.
Assessment of the insured damage and/or loss, establishment of reserves, and authorization of payments.
Preparation of settlement offers or denial letters.
Coordination and cooperation with Reinsurers and/or Co-insurers.

Requirements

For General Liability or Aviation and Transport: Bachelor's or Degree in Law
For Material Damage: Technical training; Engineering preferred.

English level: C1

Previous experience in claims handling will be valued.
