Customer Service & Sales Support - Ship Supply

We are looking to hire a Customer Service & Sales Support professional for a company specializing in ship supply and provisioning, operating within the maritime-port sector.

The position combines customer service and advisory, management of quotes and orders, negotiation, and coordination of operations, being a key figure in ensuring that each customer's needs are resolved from start to finish.

The role combines functions of Customer Service, Sales Support, Procurement, and Operations, participating in the entire order cycle, from receiving the request and preparing the quote to coordinating delivery on board and closing the operation.

What will your mission be?

Your main objective will be to provide customer service, advise them, and ensure that their needs are resolved, from the receipt of their request to the correct delivery of the order.

You will work in an environment with a high volume of requests and communications, so we are looking for a person who is proactive, organized, agile, and capable of prioritizing and managing several operations simultaneously.

Main responsibilities

• Daily management of inquiries, RFQs, and purchase orders from national and international customers.
• Preparation, follow-up, and negotiation of quotations and commercial offers.
• Customer service and follow-up with clients, shipowners, ship managers, maritime agencies, and crews.
• Coordination of supplies for vessels based on ETA / ETB / ETD and operational windows.
• Management of orders for provisions, bonded stores, deck & engine stores, spare parts, consumables, and other marine supplies.
• Requesting prices and availability from suppliers and comparing supply alternatives.
• Coordination with Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, and Operations to ensure the correct preparation and delivery of orders.
• Follow-up of deliveries on board and management of incidents, changes, shortages, and urgent orders.
• Management of last minute / emergency supply operations, adapting to changes in calls and unforeseen vessel needs.
• Control of prices, costs, margins, and commercial conditions.
• Follow-up of pending offers and support for account development and loyalty.
• Updating orders, customers, and operations in ERP / CRM.
• Management and review of documentation associated with operations.
• Continuous coordination with various stakeholders to ensure On Time & In Full (OTIF) service.
• Identification of new commercial opportunities and cross-selling / up-selling potential within the customer portfolio.
• Development and loyalty of assigned accounts.
• Acquiring and developing new clients.
• Management of a high volume of daily emails and requests, prioritizing and responding to each need quickly.
