Senior AIX / Linux Technician

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, with specialization in AIX and Linux environments.
• AIX: Solid and demonstrable experience of at least 4 years in advanced AIX systems administration.
• Linux Enterprise: Solid and demonstrable experience of at least 4 years in the administration of Linux Enterprise distributions (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu Server).
• N2/N3 Troubleshooting: Proven ability for the diagnosis and resolution of complex problems (Level 2/3).
• Shell Scripting: At least 3 years of experience in the development and optimization of Shell scripts (Bash, Korn).
• Patching and Maintenance: Knowledge and practical experience in the application of patches and the maintenance of operating systems.

• English Level: B2 level or higher.
• Other Technologies: Experience with virtualization (VMware, PowerVM), clustering, storage (SAN, NAS), or databases.
• Networking Knowledge: Understanding of network protocols and configuration.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile working environments.

We are looking for a Senior AIX / Linux Technician with a proactive, decisive profile and a great capacity for teamwork. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge and practical experience in the advanced administration of AIX and Linux operating systems, as well as in the management of complex incidents.

• Advanced AIX and Linux Systems Administration: Comprehensive management, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of AIX and Linux Enterprise environments. This includes the installation, updating, and uninstallation of software, as well as user and permission management.
• N2/N3 Incident Resolution: Diagnosis and resolution of second and third-level technical incidents, guaranteeing minimal service interruption. The ability to analyze root causes and propose permanent solutions will be valued.
• Change Execution: Planning, execution, and verification of changes in production systems, following established procedures and minimizing risks.
• System Patching and Maintenance: Application of security patches and operating system updates, as well as performing preventive, corrective, and evolutionary maintenance tasks to ensure the stability and performance of the infrastructure.
• Capacity and Availability Management: Continuous monitoring of system resources (CPU, memory, disk, network) to guarantee adequate capacity and high availability of critical services.
• On-call Shifts and After-hours Interventions: Availability to participate in on-call shifts and perform technical interventions outside of regular working hours, according to service needs.
• Technical Documentation: Preparation and updating of technical documentation related to system configuration, incident resolution procedures, and operation guides.
• Collaboration and Support: Close collaboration with other technical and development teams for problem resolution and the implementation of new solutions.
