Finance and Business Controller

• Offered salary package: 60,000 - 80,000 euros fixed salary + bonus + social benefits.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

• Leading and coordinating the financial function of the entities and plants assigned to them at any given time, ensuring the quality and integrity of financial information, compliance with Group policies and procedures, the strength of internal controls, and proper management of profitability, liquidity, and risks.
• Acting as a financial liaison between the assigned entities, the various corporate areas, and Management, supporting decision-making, anticipating deviations, and driving the implementation and monitoring of action plans.
• Coordinating and supervising the accounting and financial closings of the assigned entities, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with established deadlines.
• Ensuring the integrity of financial statements and compliance with the Group's accounting, tax, and reporting standards.
• Analyzing the evolution of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, identifying deviations, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinating the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the assigned entities.
• Acting as a financial partner to Plant Management and supporting decision-making from an economic-financial perspective.
• Driving improvement actions on profitability, productivity, working capital, and cash generation, while monitoring the implementation of action plans.
• Supervising the cash position and working capital of the assigned entities, identifying liquidity risks in advance.
• Ensuring compliance with the Group's financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Supervising compliance with tax obligations and coordinating relationships with external advisors and auditors when necessary.
• Coordinating and supporting internal and external audits, ensuring the implementation of derived recommendations.
• Participating in financial transformation projects, process improvement, and the implementation of tools and systems.
• Coordinating and contributing to the functional development and training of the financial teams of the plants.
• Maintaining ongoing communication with Plant Management, local financial managers, and corporate areas, promoting process standardization and the homogeneous application of Group policies.
• Identifying and escalating financial, operational, or compliance risks affecting the assigned entities in a timely manner.

A major multinational industrial group is seeking a Finance & Business Controller for its corporate office in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Controller in a multinational manufacturing company (ideally having managed multiple entities or production plants). A very high level of English is essential. Availability to travel 30% (domestic and international). Hybrid work format.

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or similar.
• Postgraduate education or a master's degree in Finance, Management Control, or Business Administration will be positively valued.
• Proven experience in Controlling positions (minimum 3-5 years) in industrial and international environments.
• Experience working in an industrial manufacturing group is essential.
• Experience coordinating multiple entities, plants, or business units will be a plus.
• Experience managing financial teams across entities or plants remotely will be a plus.
• Previous experience as an Auditor at a Big 4 firm will be a plus.
• A solid accounting background (in final clients or auditing) is important for this role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and working capital.
• Experience in variance analysis, KPI monitoring, and defining action plans.
• Experience with ERP implementations, financial transformation, or highly complex environments will be valued.
• A very high level of English is essential.
• Proficiency in ERP tools and financial consolidation and reporting systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be especially valued.
• Advanced command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 30%.
