Food Quality Manager

We are looking for a Quality Manager to guarantee and ensure the safety and security of the products marketed by our client, while simultaneously providing greater added value to the company's activity and results through continuous improvement.

As Quality Manager, you must carry out the following responsibilities:

• Lead the quality and food safety management system, acting as the IFS representative and head of the HACCP and Food Defense team.
• Manage the approval, evaluation, and auditing of suppliers and external collaborators, guaranteeing compliance with quality standards, food safety, and current regulations.
• Design, implement, and supervise quality control procedures at the source, ensuring product conformity before shipment.
• Develop, validate, and maintain technical specifications, product data sheets, purchasing documentation, and labeling in accordance with applicable legislation.
• Coordinate quality controls upon receipt, analytical plans, and the relationship with external laboratories to ensure product quality and safety.
• Supervise external handling, relabeling, and product transformation operations, defining quality criteria, validating results, and managing non-conformities.
• Manage incidents and claims from customers and suppliers, implementing corrective actions and promoting the continuous improvement of processes.
• Maintain and develop quality, hygiene, and traceability systems, ensuring compliance with certifications such as IFS, BRC, ISO, and sustainability standards.
• Lead internal, external, and official body audits, acting as the primary interlocutor before certification entities and regulatory inspections.
• Prepare quality system performance reports and propose improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce risks, and guarantee operational excellence.

• At least 1 year of experience in similar positions

The selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Degree in Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or similar is valued. Food Defense and Fraud.
• Additional Knowledge: Knowledge of Quality Systems (HACCP, ISO, IFS, BRC...) is valued. Knowledge of ASC/MSC sustainability certification and English level.
• Experience: Previous experience in Quality departments of companies in the agri-food sector is valued.
• Skills: Analytical skills. Problem-solving skills. Methodical, rigorous. Organized and responsible. Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
