Quality Manager - Laboratory

• University or technical training related to the field of engineering, science, or environment.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in testing laboratories or environmental analysis.

• Demonstrable experience in the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of management systems according to UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025.

• Experience in planning, conducting, and monitoring internal audits.

• Experience in communicating with external auditors.

• Knowledge of processes related to ENAC.

• Knowledge of risk analysis tools, non-conformity management, and supplier evaluation.

• Driving license.

• Knowledge of the EMAS Regulation.

• Experience in environmental analysis laboratories related to water, soil, or other matrix samples.

• Knowledge of chemical and microbiological testing.

• Experience in method validation and uncertainty calculation.

• Experience in quality management systems within production environments.

• Ability to work transversally with technical and production teams.

At SOCOTEC Spain, we are looking to hire a Quality Manager to join our INTERCONTROL team in Carlet, Valencia.

We are looking for a profile with experience in quality management systems in laboratories, especially under the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, with the ability to work transversally with technical and production teams and sufficient autonomy to drive compliance with quality standards.

• Supervise the maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality management system.

• Review and update system documentation, ensuring its regulatory and operational adequacy.

• Plan and conduct internal audits according to the established program.

• Participate and collaborate in external audits and in communication with auditors and assessment bodies.

• Monitor the requirements associated with ENAC.

• Identify and evaluate risks and opportunities within the management system.

• Analyze the effectiveness of the system through audits, indicators, and other monitoring tools.

• Manage suggestions, non-conformities, complaints, and appeals, ensuring their analysis, treatment, and closure.

• Coordinate the analysis and classification of suppliers from a quality perspective.

• Manage and analyze customer satisfaction surveys.

• Supervise the execution of internal quality controls, intercomparisons, and control charts.

• Prepare technical validation reports and calculate testing uncertainties.

• Participate in the implementation of new fields and activities within the management system.

• Ensure that quality procedures and standards are correctly applied in production processes.

• Collaborate with technical managers and other departments to integrate quality requirements into daily operations.
