About the role

Natulim is a brand of eco-friendly cleaning products with active sales in 9 European countries (ES, FR, IT, PT, RO, PL, CZ, HR, GR) through Shopify DTC, Amazon, and retail. We invoice €24M and are growing fast. We are looking for someone to help us manage the tax complexity of operating across multiple European jurisdictions.

What you'll do

  • Manage and maintain the Avalara platform for VAT returns in the different countries: configuration, reconciliation, review of returns, and resolution of issues

  • Monitor regulatory changes in the 9 countries and alert on relevant obligations

  • Act as the first point of contact for notices from local tax authorities - coordinating with local correspondents for formal representation

  • Answer recurring tax queries from the team (VAT, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, permanent establishment)

  • Coordinate a network of local correspondents in each country for procedures requiring local representation

  • Track compliance in each jurisdiction (OSS/IOSS, e-invoicing, DAC7, KSeF, etc.)

  • Support the Finance Manager in corporate structure decisions and indirect tax planning on the international side

What you'll get

  • Access to and training in AI tools, working with cutting-edge technology like Claude

  • Permanent contract, job stability, and real growth opportunities

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and end times

  • Internal and external training to boost your continuous learning

  • Flexible compensation tailored to your needs (health insurance, meal, transport, and childcare)

  • Up to 50% discount on Natulim products

  • School adaptation days, to support you when you have children under 3 years old

  • A young, dynamic team with a great atmosphere, where people and ideas matter

We are a young team based in Barcelona, but we are a remote-first company. We meet in person once or twice a week, although you can also be fully remote if you prefer, with no strings attached.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Essential:

  • 3-5 years of experience in indirect taxes or multi-country taxation

  • Solid knowledge of European VAT, OSS/IOSS and cross-border digital seller obligations

  • Experience with e-commerce, DTC, or marketplace companies (Shopify, Amazon, etc.)

  • Ability to manage several countries in parallel with autonomy

  • Native or advanced Spanish

  • Working-level English (communication with local correspondents, international tax documentation) B2

Highly valued:

  • Experience in Poland - the group's main market outside Spain, with high regulatory complexity (KSeF, JPK, split payment, WHT)

  • Experience in accounting

  • Experience with Avalara (or similar platforms: Vertex, TaxJar)

  • Experience in Greece - we operate with our own legal entity (myDATA, AADE obligations)

  • Knowledge of e-invoicing in key markets: KSeF (PL), FatturaPA (IT), e-Factura (RO), myDATA (GR)

  • Experience coordinating external correspondents in multiple jurisdictions

  • Polish, French, or Italian
