The role

Our client is a fast-growing SEO technology company that helps businesses acquire high-quality backlinks through a scalable and data-driven platform. By combining advanced automation, real-time tracking, and access to a large network of verified publishers, they enable SEO teams to execute link acquisition strategies more efficiently and at scale.

We are currently looking for an experienced Link Acquisition Specialist to join their remote team.

As a Link Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and executing backlink acquisition strategies for clients across a variety of industries. You will be responsible for identifying high-value link opportunities, evaluating publisher quality, monitoring campaign performance, and ensuring that acquired links contribute to measurable SEO growth.

This is a role for someone who understands that successful link acquisition is about far more than volume. You have a strong understanding of relevance, authority, risk assessment, and long-term SEO value, and you are comfortable making decisions based on data rather than assumptions.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to align link acquisition efforts with broader SEO and marketing objectives while continuously identifying opportunities to improve campaign performance and return on investment.

What you'll do

  • Research, evaluate, and secure high-quality backlink opportunities
  • Assess domain quality, topical relevance, authority metrics, and traffic potential
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify acquisition opportunities
  • Develop and refine link acquisition strategies based on client objectives
  • Monitor backlink performance and contribute recommendations for optimization
  • Ensure timely activation, indexation, and quality control of acquired links
  • Maintain accurate documentation and campaign reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align link-building activities with overall SEO strategy
  • Build and maintain relationships with publishers and external partners where required
  • Stay up to date with SEO trends, search engine developments, and industry best practices

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with link building, link acquisition, or off-page SEO
  • Strong understanding of backlink quality signals and SEO performance metrics
  • Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic, or similar platforms
  • Ability to evaluate domains based on metrics such as DR, DA, traffic, relevance, and link profile quality
  • Strong analytical mindset and confidence working with performance data
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
  • Experience from an SEO agency, affiliate marketing, iGaming, SaaS, or digital marketing environment is considered highly advantageous

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate combines technical SEO knowledge with commercial thinking. You understand how backlinks contribute to organic growth, can identify valuable opportunities quickly, and are able to prioritize activities that generate measurable results.

You are detail-oriented, data-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of your work while collaborating effectively with colleagues across different functions.

Good to know if you are moving

  • Relocation packages are standard: most Spain-based roles include paid flights and help with the move, so you don't have to fund the relocation yourself.
  • The company hires exclusively for international talent — nearly every open role in Spain is for a Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, or German speaker.
  • Roles are concentrated on the Costa del Sol (Málaga, Alicante, Torrevieja, Fuengirola), so you can live by the beach while working in tech, customer service, or healthcare.
  • Several positions are fully remote from anywhere in the EU, which suits digital nomads who want to keep moving.
  • The employer handles the Spanish visa and work-permit paperwork as part of the relocation, removing a big administrative hurdle for non-EU candidates.
