About the role

We are currently looking to bring on an Inventory Analyst for our Logistics division in Chile.

What you'll do

Inventory Control and Recording:

  • Verify and record the movements of goods in and out of the inventory management system.
  • Update and maintain the inventory database in real time.
  • Ensure that supporting documents (invoices, delivery notes, receiving guides) are properly filed and linked to the recorded movements.

Physical Counts and Reconciliation:

  • Coordinate and carry out periodic physical counts (cyclical and annual) of inventories.
  • Identify and analyze discrepancies between the physical inventory and the one recorded in the system.
  • Propose adjustments and perform reconciliations in the system after approval from those responsible.

Inventory Analysis:

  • Generate reports on inventory levels, product turnover, obsolescence, and other key indicators.
  • Identify slow-moving or soon-to-expire products and communicate this to the relevant departments.
  • Propose improvements to inventory processes to optimize storage and minimize errors.

Compliance with Policies and Regulations:

  • Ensure that inventory procedures comply with internal policies and applicable legal regulations.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to inventory.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with the purchasing, sales, warehouse, and logistics departments to maintain the integrity of inventory information.
  • Support the resolution of issues related to product availability.

Driving light vehicles:

  • Driving a pickup truck and van will take place within the Minera Los Pelambres site, strictly following safety protocols.

What we're looking for

  • Technical or technological degree in Logistics, Administration, Accounting, or related fields.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Hold a Class B driver's license.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in inventory systems (ERP, WMS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Excel and data analysis, key inventory management indicators (KPIs).

Nice to have

  • Additional training in inventory management or inventory management systems (desirable).
  • Course or certifications in supply chain, logistics, or cargo handling equipment (desirable).
