Advocacy Specialist

• University education in Social Sciences, preferably in the fields of Sociology, Political Science and Administration, Law, or Architecture.
• Recent experience of at least 2 years in political advocacy processes and institutional relations: Advocacy in the Third Sector, political parties, the public sector, institutional relations, public affairs consultancy, etc.
• Experience in the preparation of analysis/position documents.
• Participation in advocacy processes or the development of public policy, especially at the local or regional level.
• Verifiable knowledge of institutional relations and public advocacy processes and actions.
• Knowledge of R and/or Datawrapper
• Verifiable knowledge of public policies and the functioning of the Administration. Knowledge regarding the housing sector will be especially valued.

• High level of English (minimum C1 demonstrable with certification or recent experience).
• Training, connection, or knowledge regarding housing and/or the environment.
• Knowledge of the functioning of state and European public institutions.
• Network of contacts.
• Knowledge and/or experience in Agile methodologies.
• Disability certificate of at least 33%.

Gross monthly salary: €1,933.28 (14 payments)

Program: Communication and Advocacy Area

Support in the development of Provivienda's advocacy strategy and in its specific actions regarding data analysis and public policies, and interlocution with key agents, especially in the fields of affordable housing.

• Analysis and monitoring of public policies linked to affordable housing, ecological transition, touristification, and residential exclusion, in both the European and Spanish contexts.
• Analysis, interpretation, and processing of data and indicators on affordable housing and exclusion.
• Maintenance and updating of the Affordable Housing Observatory, as well as its indicators and their analysis in the implementation of public policies.
• Preparation of materials and positioning and advocacy arguments regarding housing, exclusion, rehabilitation, and touristification.
• Support in institutional spokesmanship in media and press, or for attendance at conferences. Creation of arguments, briefings, work with spokespersons, and key approaches.
• Work related to contributing to public policies at different levels of the Administration.
• Mapping and daily management of institutional relations with social and political actors.
• Participation in forums and networking and working in alliance with other organizations.
• Participation in the design and planning of communication and advocacy campaigns on housing, affordable housing, rehabilitation, and touristification.
• Organization and management of institutional events.
• Participation in the design and execution of the entity's communication and advocacy strategy.
