Staff Product Manager [Accounting expertise]

• Deep expertise in the German accounting sector: You have worked at or closely with a German accounting tech company.
• Concrete examples of products you have brought from 0 to 1 or scaled significantly. For you, the result counts, not just the feature—and you also handle difficult trade-offs with confidence.
• AI is part of your way of working: You use it to work better, from research and analysis to spec writing and user testing. For you, AI is a real lever for your product, not just a productivity trick.
• Fluent German, very good English: You navigate the German market with confidence. Accounting is extremely locally driven, and a direct understanding of the market is crucial. Very good English is required for cross-functional collaboration with Qonto's European teams.

Become part of our team as a Product Manager and develop the accounting products that make Qonto the central finance workspace for SMEs in Germany and beyond.

You will take end-to-end responsibility for our accounting expansion in the German market: from product strategy and expanding our local offering to defining the next steps, in one of the most fragmented and locally complex areas in the fintech sector—German accounting and the DATEV ecosystem.

• End-to-end responsibility for your product roadmap: You determine what we build, why, and in what order, in collaboration with engineers, designers, and subject matter experts, to deliver features that truly make a difference for SMEs and their tax advisors in Germany.
• You will build a deep understanding of German accounting processes and develop a sharp sense of how accounting actually works in Germany.
• You will define and implement the German accounting strategy: You understand customer needs, weigh up whether we build it ourselves or cover it through partnerships, and shape an offering that is truly useful for German SMEs—not just a localized version of what works elsewhere.
• You will deliver faster with AI: You use AI tools (Dust, Notion AI, Claude) and deploy them specifically where automation can transform accounting from a chore into a competitive advantage.
• You will challenge the status quo: You question assumptions, build prototypes quickly, and work towards the best possible product.
• You will work with maximum squad autonomy: Your squad owns its own roadmap, chooses its own approaches, and delivers independently—without approval layers and without waiting for committees.
