Imos IX Drafter

Develop and translate conceptual furniture designs into technical manufacturing drawings, constructive breakdowns, and parametric 3D models, ensuring the correct generation of data, machining, and bills of materials (BOM) for subsequent transfer to the corporate ERP and smooth execution on plant machinery.

• Drafting and Technical Modeling: 3D/2D modulation and development of furniture elements (panels, machining, edging, and hardware) for industrial production.
• Generation of Costings (BOM): Rigorous preparation and coding of bills of materials, manufacturing routes, and error-free cutting breakdowns to avoid deviations in purchasing and the workshop.
• Data Preparation for Production: Preparation of technical documentation and assembly drawings for CNC machine, panel saw, and edgebander operators.
• Standardization and Version Control: Maintain and parameterize product families in the CAD/CAM system to optimize response times for special orders or product modifications.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Direct collaboration with the factory and engineering teams for prototype validation and troubleshooting during production startup.

Main Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Academic Training: Industrial Drafting; also valuable: Wood and Furniture Product Development or Production Programming in Mechanical Manufacturing.

Technical Competencies and Software

• It is highly valued to have proficiency or previous experience with iMOS iX (furniture CAD/CAM) or specific software from the wood sector (TopSolid, PYTHA, AlphaCAM). If native iMOS iX experience is not provided, solid proficiency in parametric CAD/CAM environments (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or Solid Edge) is required.
• Understanding of materials (chipboard, MDF, melamine), CNC machining processes, assembly hardware, and industrial edging. ERP Integration:
• Habit of working with computers on the workshop floor and transferring data into industrial ERPs (Business Central / Navision, SAP, Odoo).

Soft Skills

They are looking for someone very rigorous and methodical, with extreme attention to detail and a clear orientation toward the Plant: someone who likes going down to the workshop, talking to the machinist, and understanding the manufacturing reality.

They also highly value someone proactive and resourceful, with the ability to propose efficient and industrializable constructive solutions.
