The role

Are you a Design Engineer, Drafter, or Industrial Drafter looking for a stable project where you can combine modular design and custom developments from scratch?

From the Randstad Professionals division, we are managing a selection process for a Mechanical Drafter / Designer / Design Engineer who knows how to use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to join a leading company in the design and manufacture of industrial machinery for packaging, bagging, and end-of-line processes.

What you'll do

2D and 3D Design: Modeling in SolidWorks and technical drafting in AutoCAD, both adapting standard pre-designed modules (modular assemblies) and designing special, custom machinery from scratch according to client specifications.
Technical documentation: Preparation of assembly drawings, sub-assemblies, and detail drawings for manufacturing (tolerances, finishes, welding, and machining).
Bill of Materials (BOM) management: Creation and maintenance of structured part lists for procurement.
Liaison with Purchasing: Continuous technical collaboration with the purchasing department for the validation of commercial components, materials, and lead times.
Version control: Rigorous management and recording of modifications, evolutions, and technical revisions in drawings.
Direct Workshop Support: Technical assistance during the assembly, mounting, and testing of machinery to resolve deviations or incidents on the shop floor.

Requirements

Technical training: Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Design or Technical Design.
Professional experience: At least 2 years of experience in a technical office performing design and drafting of capital goods, special machinery, or industrial automation lines.
Design tools: Proven mastery of SolidWorks (3D) and AutoCAD (2D).
Technical knowledge: Advanced interpretation of mechanical drawings, functional dimensioning, dimensional and geometric tolerances, and manufacturing processes (sheet metal, machining, welded structures). — Are you interested in learning more details under strict confidentiality?
