Your main objective will be to integrate into the production plant to train practically alongside experienced skilled tradespeople. You will gradually learn the behavior of the material, manual and automatic cutting techniques, the interpretation of blueprints, and the specific safety measures for flat glass, until you autonomously manage your own cutting station.
Handling and transport: Safe use of suction cups, overhead cranes, and A-frames for the movement of glass sheets of different formats and thicknesses.
Material preparation: Loading and unloading cutting tables, ensuring product protection against scratches or breakage.
PPE and Safety: Rigorous application of Occupational Risk Prevention protocols specific to handling sharp material.
Order interpretation: Reading work orders, simple technical blueprints, and optimization of cutting plans.
Manual and mechanized cutting: Handling of cutting wheels, cross-cutting, scoring, and operation on automatic/CNC cutting tables.
Quality control and verification: Precise measurement of pieces using tape measures and calipers, checking for squareness, and visual detection of imperfections or tensions in the glass.
Final conditioning: Removal of sharp edges, labeling, and preparation of packages for dispatch or passage to the next phase (manufacturing/tempering).
