R&D Packaging Technician

This opportunity is for you!!

o Technical functions in the development of packaging solutions for new launches or improvements to current packaging, whether manufactured in our plant, at co-packers, or with third parties.

o Project management in the packaging area: taking the initial briefing from Marketing and developing it through to industrialization and manufacturing, defining the schedule, critical milestones, risks, and action plans, to ensure a smooth rollout for Quality and Service.

o Participation in cross-functional projects, together with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance, Product R&D, Purchasing, Quality, and other Operations/Supply Chain areas.

o Evaluation and approval of new materials or suppliers, in terms of technical documentation, cost, machinability, quality, and efficiency.

o Definition and execution of necessary tests and validations throughout the projects, and the creation of related technical documentation.

o Searching for ideas and innovation opportunities in the packaging area, evaluating their technical and economic feasibility and alignment with consumer and customer expectations.

o Identification of packaging solutions that contribute to advancing the sustainability roadmap and current legislation.

o Participation in the dynamic of identifying efficiencies at the Operations level, specifically for primary and secondary packaging.

o Improvement proposals that result in efficiencies, whether with our suppliers, in packaging and containers, or in the production and packaging process, storage, or delivery to the customer.

o High level of collaboration with the Marketing and Packaging Purchasing teams, participating in development and partnership with suppliers.

o Monitoring of packaging regulations applicable to the food sector to identify possible implications.

o Creation of final product logistics sheets, GTIN creation, palletization, units….

o Support for Sustainability regarding technical documentation such as carbon footprint, certifications, Ecoembes
