Innovation Technician

Who are we looking for

Education: university degree in Engineering or Experimental Sciences; a Master's or PhD will be valued.

Experience: at least 2 years in applied R&D, technological innovation, proofs of concept, pilot projects, or scaling.

Management: demonstrable ability to convert open problems into executable projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Technological judgment: ability to compare alternatives, define KPIs, and work with TRL levels and technical evidence.

Communication: technical and executive synthesis, interaction with the business, and coordination of internal and external stakeholders.

Environment: autonomy, fast learning, results orientation, and comfort in the face of uncertainty.

Languages: minimum B2 English; C1 will be valued.

Valuable: Power BI and data analysis and visualization environments, process simulation, notions of Python programming, and knowledge of the Horizon Europe program and national R&D&i calls.

Integrated into the Technology, Projects and Services Directorate, specifically within the Energy Transition Technologies department of the Innovation Center, you will be responsible for executing applied innovation projects and connecting technology, experimentation, ecosystem, and industrial application to reduce uncertainty and facilitate scaling decisions for emerging technologies. You will be in charge of managing a portfolio of innovation projects in technologies for the Energy Transition: renewable hydrogen, CO₂ capture and valorization, synthetic fuels, renewable molecules and biorefinery, energy storage, and other emerging technologies.

We are not looking for an expert in all of them, but rather a profile capable of learning, structuring, and mobilizing the necessary capabilities to advance each opportunity and develop innovation projects in Energy Transition technologies.

Some of your main responsibilities will be:

Lead innovation projects: define scope, milestones, budget, risks, deliverables, and success criteria.

Evaluate opportunities: analyze strategic fit, maturity, techno-economic viability, and potential impact.

Structure PoCs and pilots: formulate hypotheses, coordinate their validation with other areas of the company, and propose Go, Pivot, Scale, or Stop decisions.

Manage the pipeline: keep projects, KPIs, decisions, and documentary traceability up to date.

Coordinate the ecosystem: manage the operational relationship with startups, universities, technology centers, and industrial partners.

Prepare decisions: prepare preliminary impact cases, technical reports, and executive materials for committees and Management.

Drive transfer: identify sponsors, recipients, and integration or scaling routes toward the business.
