Requirements

What we're looking for

Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related field.
Experience in the design of HVAC and fire protection systems in building or industrial plant projects.
Solid knowledge of applicable regulations (RITE, CTE, UNE, NFPA, EN, etc.).
Ability to perform technical calculations, equipment selection and sizing.
Proficiency in standard technical software: AutoCAD, HVAC and/or fire protection calculation tools; Revit MEP is a plus.
Strong multidisciplinary coordination skills and good technical communication.

Nice to have

Previous experience in industrial projects or large-scale plants.
Knowledge of international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO).
Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks or other BIM tools related to installations.
English upper-intermediate level for communication and documentation review.
Experience in construction sites, supporting installation, supervision or commissioning.
Additional certifications or training in fire protection (NFPA, CEPREVEN, etc.).

The role

Are you interested in the design, development and installation management in industrial and construction projects? At RDT we are looking for an Installations Engineer (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, etc.) to join our team and take part in the design, review and coordination of oil&gas, renewable energy, building and civil works projects, within a technical, dynamic and multidisciplinary environment.

The selected person will work in coordination with other disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil), ensuring that the proposed solutions comply with regulations, client requirements, and quality standards.

What you'll do

Develop and prepare the design of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and fire protection systems (sprinklers, fire hydrants, detection, fire pumps, etc.), as well as electrical and mechanical installations.
Perform thermal calculations, loads and sizing in accordance with project regulations and specifications.
Design networks of ducts, pipes, equipment, and HVAC-FPE schematics.
Prepare and review drawings, technical reports, specifications and material take-offs.
Coordinate the design with the rest of the project disciplines (electrical, civil, mechanical, architectural).
Carry out technical reviews and document control to ensure compliance with standards.
Provide support in equipment selection, review of quotations and technical assistance during procurement.
Provide on-site technical support for queries, clarifications and resolution of issues.
Participate in meetings with the client, engineering teams or contractors.
Collaborate in testing, validation and commissioning activities when required.
