Repairs Operations Specialist

We are looking for a Repairs Operations Specialist to join the Existing Installations team at Headquarters (Madrid - Alcobendas). If you are motivated to lead improvement initiatives, work cross-functionally with different areas, and contribute to the growth of a strategic business, this could be a great opportunity to develop your career at Schindler.

You will be the person responsible for driving, coordinating, and evolving the repairs business at Schindler, ensuring proper process management, supporting the Operations network, and leading initiatives that improve efficiency, profitability, and service quality. From this position, you will act as the reference for the repairs business at Headquarters, working closely with Operations and the Group to ensure sustainable business growth, translating corporate initiatives to local market needs, and driving the implementation of best practices.

What you'll do

  • Managing repair sales processes, supporting Operations, and making decisions in situations that require escalation.
  • Acting as Key User for the creation, modification, and management of repair orders, ensuring their proper functioning and handling exceptions.
  • Managing the structure of materials and repair sales prices, creating new codes, and making the necessary updates to keep the business competitive.
  • Analyzing the needs of the Operations network to develop new repair solutions (PES), optimizing materials, costs, and processes.
  • Monitoring the operational repair portfolio, providing key information for planning, cost control, and decision-making.
  • Managing the Life Cycle Management (LCM) model, defining its strategy, maintaining the tool, and providing support to Operations teams.
  • Coordinating actions with an impact on sales, profitability, and safety, such as specific repair campaigns or the traceability of safety components.
  • Analyzing the profitability of repair projects and initiatives and participating in supplier evaluations to ensure the best value proposition for the business.
  • Training and supporting new Service Leaders in the repairs business.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency and business capacity, such as logistics optimization initiatives, component refurbishment, or new planning tools.
  • Collaborating with the Group and international teams to implement corporate projects and adapt them to local business needs.
  • Coordinating cross-functionally with different areas of the organization and maintaining a close relationship with the branch network, traveling domestically as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

  • University degree, preferably in Engineering, Industrial Organization, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the elevator industry, preferably in Operations, with solid business knowledge.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects, coordinate different areas, and turn corporate initiatives into solutions applicable to the local business.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data, evaluate project profitability, and identify improvement opportunities.
