Pay & benefits
What you'll get
A unique opportunity to combine your domain knowledge—from payroll and accountancy to Belcotax-on-web and SportsPay—with technology. You will discover how teams, processes, and applications within the SD Worx ecosystem work together to make complex services simple and reliable for clients and professionals. By helping build the quality of the Bedrijfsleiderstool, SportsPay, and Finbox, you make a visible difference every day and grow from Functional Tester to Functional Analyst. That is "We make work work" in practice. Ready to help shape the future of our applications? Apply and strengthen the AA team!
The role
As a Functional Tester within the Products Payroll & Reward BE Tribe, you play an important role in the quality, reliability, and legal compliance of three business-critical applications: the Bedrijfsleiderstool, SportsPay, and Finbox.
You will join the AA team: an international product team that jointly develops and manages these three applications. You will work closely with your fellow developers, business stakeholders, and payroll and domain experts. English is the daily working language within the team.
The applications support various users and processes:
Bedrijfsleiderstool helps accountants in simulating and managing the remuneration of business leaders.
SportsPay supports Belgian sports clubs in managing compensation for, among others, athletes, trainers, volunteers, and association workers, with attention to fiscal and legal obligations.
Finbox centralizes financial and legally required documents for accountants and their clients.
In this role, you will first build up a thorough knowledge of the applications, their users, and the underlying processes. You will analyze requirements, develop test scenarios, perform functional and regression testing, and investigate discrepancies before changes are released to clients and colleagues.
Depending on your experience, development, and interest, you will have the opportunity to gradually take on more tasks of a Functional Analyst. Think of clarifying business needs, developing solutions, writing and refining user stories and acceptance criteria, and guiding functionalities from idea to production.
This is therefore an interesting role for someone who sees quality and testing as a strong foundation, but also wants to grow into functional analysis at the intersection of business, legislation, and technology in the long term.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
· You work closely with developers, the Product Owner, and payroll and domain experts to translate customer needs into reliable solutions.
· You actively contribute your relevant domain knowledge during refinement, planning, reviews, and other consultation moments, for example regarding payroll, accountancy, Belcotax-on-web, or sports compensation via SportsPay.
· You analyze user stories, processes, and business rules and make unclear expectations concrete.
· You convert requirements into clear test scenarios and test new functionalities and changes before release.
· You verify whether calculations, workflows, business rules, and legal requirements are correctly processed.
· You monitor through regression testing that existing functionalities continue to work reliably.
· You investigate discrepancies and production issues, record findings clearly, and follow them up until the solution is retested.
· You monitor the quality of the entire chain, including integrations, and contribute ideas for smarter processes, a better user experience, and a stronger testing approach.
· You grow step by step into functional analysis. In doing so, you will learn, among other things:
o structuring business questions and sharpening the scope;
o developing functional solutions, user stories, and acceptance criteria;
o investigating impact and dependencies and following up functionalities from analysis to production.
The combination of functional knowledge, critical thinking, testing, and collaboration is important, because the team is responsible for the entire product lifecycle, including development, testing, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
