Senior Claims Handler for Transport/Cargo (Marine & Cargo) and/or Liability (Public Liability)

At Sedgwick Iberia, we are looking to hire a Senior Claims Handler for Transport/Cargo and/or Liability (Public Liability) to join our Madrid team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the full management of cargo transport and/or public liability claims, ensuring efficient, high-quality handling in accordance with internal procedures and current regulations.

Responsibilities

• Full management of cargo transport and public liability claims.
• Opening, analysis, processing, resolution, payment/denial, and closing of claims.
• Coordination and review of required documentation.
• Communication with insurers, clients, adjusters, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
• Coverage analysis and application of policy criteria.
• Claim resolution (payments/denials).
• Management of subrogation recoveries from third parties.
• Monitoring and proper document management within claims handling tools.
• Preparation of reports and administrative/technical support for the department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in cargo transport and/or public liability claims handling (essential).
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, especially in public liability and cargo transport.
• Proficiency in claims management tools.
• Organized, autonomous profile with a results-oriented approach.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple claims simultaneously.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience in claims handling environments.
• Knowledge of international claims.
• Minimum B2 level of English.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.

Tramitador/a Senior de Siniestros de Transportes/Mercancías (Marine & Cargo) y/o Responsabilidad Civil (RC)

En Sedgwick Iberia buscamos incorporar un/a Tramitador/a Senior de Siniestros de Transportes/Mercancías y/o Responsabilidad Civil (RC) para nuestro equipo de Madrid.

La persona seleccionada se responsabilizará de la gestión integral de siniestros de transporte de mercancías y/o Responsabilidad Civil, asegurando una tramitación eficiente y de calidad conforme a los procedimientos internos y la normativa vigente.

Funciones

• Gestión integral de siniestros de transportes de mercancías y responsabilidad civil.
• Apertura, análisis, tramitación, resolución, pago/rehúse y cierre de expedientes.
• Coordinación y revisión de la documentación necesaria.
• Comunicación con aseguradoras, clientes, peritos, abogados y otros interlocutores.
• Análisis de coberturas y aplicación de criterios de póliza.
• Resolución de siniestros (pagos/rechazos).
• Gestión de recobros a terceros.
• Seguimiento y correcta gestión documental en las herramientas de tramitación.
• Elaboración de informes y soporte administrativo‑técnico al área.

Requisitos

• Experiencia previa en gestión de siniestros de transportes y/o Responsabilidad Civil de 3 años mínimo (imprescindible).
• Conocimiento de normativa aseguradora, especialmente en Responsabilidad Civil y transportes (mercancías).
• Manejo de herramientas de gestión de siniestros.
• Perfil organizado, autónomo y orientado a resultados.
• Buenas habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita.
• Capacidad para trabajar con múltiples expedientes simultáneamente.

Se valorará

• Experiencia previa en entornos de tramitación de siniestros.
• Conocimiento de siniestros internacionales.
• Mínimo nivel B2 de inglés.
• Capacidad analítica y atención al detalle.
