Requirements

What we're looking for

Intermediate or Higher Vocational Training related to Metal Construction, Welding, Mechanical Manufacturing, Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or similar.
Interest in professional development in the field of metal structure inspection.
Valid B driver's license.
Availability to travel occasionally and work in San Sebastián de los Reyes
Ability to work in the field and in industrial environments.

Nice to have

Previous experience, even if junior, in metal construction, metal structures, welding, or industrial manufacturing.
Knowledge of interpreting blueprints and technical documentation.
Basic knowledge of welding processes and joints.
Training or initial knowledge in Non-Destructive Testing (VT, MT, PT, UT).
Experience in industrial environments, manufacturing workshops, or structure assembly.
NDT certification, although it will not be essential to join the position.

The role

SOCOTEC Spain is looking to hire a Junior Metal Construction Inspector to reinforce our technical team in Madrid.

We are looking for a person with technical training and/or knowledge in metal construction, structures, welding, or industrial manufacturing, interested in developing their professional career in the field of inspection and technical control.

The position is especially oriented towards junior profiles with an interest in the industrial environment and in acquiring knowledge in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and the control of metal structures.

What you'll do

Support the inspection and control of metal structures and constructions.
Participate in inspections of welds and joints in metal structures.
Collaborate with the technical team in quality controls during manufacturing and assembly processes.
Provide support in performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), especially VT, MT, PT, and UT.
Prepare the equipment and means necessary for inspections.
Follow established technical, quality, and safety procedures.
Collect information and data during inspections.
Collaborate in the preparation of reports and technical documentation.
Progressively develop knowledge and competencies in industrial inspection and NDT.

Permanent contract.

Occasional travel associated with inspections.
