Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Banking experience is essential, preferably Spanish (Banco de España, DORA).

  • Systems and infrastructure branch, not development. 90% of incidents come from systems: they must understand if an alert comes from a database, network, firewall...

  • Solid and demonstrable experience in problem and incident management. It can be someone more junior if they have a good foundation in day-to-day operations.

  • ITIL and root cause analysis.

  • Must know how to write clear and structured reports.

  • Good communication and ability to coordinate teams and providers.

Nice to have

  • Dynatrace.

  • Jira and Confluence (this is the tool they use, although it is not essential).

  • Cloud knowledge (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

The role

Problem Manager in the Service Management (SMO) team.

What you'll do

  • Problem management according to ITIL, from identification to closure: backlog, priorities, owners, and follow-up on improvement actions.

  • Identify recurring incidents and coordinate root cause analyses with internal technical teams and providers.

  • Support in incident management: coordination of war rooms when there are production outages.

  • Prepare incident and problem reports (post-mortem, root cause, restoration and improvement actions) for management, the business, and the bank's clients.

  • Prepare information for service committees.

  • Review alerts on the monitoring dashboard.

How you'll work

  • Hybrid: 3 days in the office (Gran Vía, Madrid) and 2 at home. For the first 4-6 weeks, on-site.

  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 17:30 and Fridays from 8:00 to 14:00. Starting at 8:00 is mandatory due to daily meetings.

  • No on-call shifts at the beginning; later on, yes.

  • 6-month contract, renewable.

  • Basic English, sufficient to read documentation.

  • Start as soon as possible.
