The role

Currently, we are looking for an operator for a coating line using electron beam cured varnishes and lacquers on unwindable substrates, contributing to the achievement of quality, productivity, and process reliability objectives by joining a team of between 3 and 4 people. The company is in the wood sector, dedicated to the manufacture of vinyl paper coils, and is located in Canovelles.

What you'll do

Configuration, startup, operation, and controlled shutdown of the EB coating line.
Technical preparation of varnish/lacquer formulations, loading, and control of substrate feeding (films, papers, coatings).
Supervision and adjustment of critical process parameters (line speed, winding/unwinding tension, viscosity, temperature, pressure, EB dose, laminate registration).
Continuous in-line quality control through physical and visual testing, and verification of compliance with tolerances defined in technical specifications.
Diagnosis of operational incidents or process deviations. Proposal and execution of corrective actions in coordination with Maintenance and Process Engineering.
Performing format changes, fine adjustments of rollers, coating heads, and auxiliary equipment.
Execution of first-level preventive maintenance according to the defined plan.
Exhaustive recording of production data, incidents, and technical adjustments in the system.
Collaboration in continuous improvement projects (OEE, waste reduction, parameter optimization).

Requirements

Experience in the operation of coating, printing, or conversion lines, preferably with EB technology and continuous lamination systems.
Technical knowledge of curing processes, handling of sensitive varnishes/lacquers, and multilayer lamination systems.
Competence in reading blueprints, interpreting technical data sheets, and using measuring instruments (viscometers, thickness gauges, etc.).
Technical analysis capacity and autonomous problem-solving.
Experience in production environments under ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.
Handling of SCADA systems, HMI, and digital tools for industrial process control.
