Requirements
What we're looking for
- Demonstrable experience working in the 2D Animation industry (Movies, Animation Series, etc).
- Availability to work in person in Tenerife, or in a hybrid way when production requires it.
- High knowledge and experience working on Pack Adobe (Photoshop)
- Knowledge of drawing and traditional animation.
- Ability to work in a team, creating a pleasant atmosphere with colleagues.
- Fluent communication in Spanish and English (conversation and writing).
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to tight deliveries.
- High knowledge of the pipeline of 2D productions.
The role
The Background Artist will help create the diverse environments and settings where the action takes place. They are responsible for establishing the color palette, mood, or specific style of a particular scene.
What you'll do
- Create visually captivating and immersive backgrounds for a 2D animated series.
- Develop original concepts and designs that align with the artistic vision and style of the show.
- Utilize advanced skills in Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality artwork.
- Collaborate closely with the art director, production team, and other artists to ensure consistency and coherence in the visual storytelling.
- Adapt to feedback and revisions in a fast-paced production environment while meeting deadlines.
- Research and gather visual references to inform and enhance background designs.
- Maintain organized files and documentation of work for efficient workflow and future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually improve skills and contribute fresh ideas to the project.
