Requirements

What we're looking for

    • Demonstrable experience working in the 2D Animation industry (Movies, Animation Series, etc).
    • Availability to work in person in Tenerife, or in a hybrid way when production requires it.
    • High knowledge and experience working on Toonboom Harmony.
    • Knowledge of drawing and traditional animation.
    • Ability to work in a team, creating a pleasant atmosphere with colleagues.
    • Fluent communication in Spanish and English (conversation and writing).
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to tight deliveries.
    • High knowledge of the pipeline of 2D productions.

The role

Cleanup artists refine sketches that are roughly drawn (roughs) at the animation stage to a polished line drawing. They trace over the key drawings (keys) in solid lines, paying close attention to retain the essence of the original sketch, as well as take care of the inbetween that fill the transitional frames. They also add details such as shades, textures and expressions to enhance the characters.

What you'll do

  • Understand the story and creative vision of the director.
  • Correctly interpret the animatics.
  • Clean the assigned scenes maintaining the quality of the project.
  • Adapt tasks to delivery dates to meet the production schedule.
  • Work closely with animators, directors, and other artists to understand project requirements and ensure consistency throughout the sequence.
  • Use your knowledge of animation principles and drawing skills to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies in the clean-up work
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the project's style guides, color scripts, and other technical documentation
  • Manipulate resources to create and troubleshoot scenes when necessary.
  • Provide a good response to the reassignment of tasks to facilitate teamwork and compliance with deliveries.
