  • Previous experience in a similar role in the animation or VFX industry is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with rendering software and tools
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot rendering issues effectively.
  • Availability to work in person in Tenerife, or in a hybrid way when production requires it.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Flexibility to work night and weekend shifts on a regular basis.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, networks, and operating systems is a plus.

The role

As a Render Wrangler working the night and weekend shifts, your primary responsibility is to manage and monitor the rendering process during non-standard working hours. Below are the main duties associated with this position:

What you'll do

  • Oversee and manage the rendering queue during night and weekend shifts to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.
  • Monitor the progress of render jobs and troubleshoot any errors or issues that arise.
  • Coordinate with artists, supervisors, and technical staff to prioritize rendering tasks based on production needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on rendering hardware and software as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the day shift render wranglers to ensure a smooth transition of tasks and information.
  • Document and report any technical issues, errors, or abnormalities encountered during the shift.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures for rendering operations to maintain data integrity and security.
  • Provide support and assistance to other production departments as required during night and weekend shifts.
