TROPS is a Producer Organization (Organización de Productores) specialized in the production and commercialization of avocado and mango, describing itself as a leader in tropical fruit in Spain. Founded in 1979 in Vélez-Málaga (Málaga), it currently brings together more than 3,000 associated farmers, with production areas in the Axarquía region of Málaga, the tropical coast of Granada, the coast of Valencia, the Portuguese Algarve, and South America (Peru and Chile). Its avocados and mangos are present in more than 25 countries, and it operates packing and classification facilities in Vélez-Málaga, Motril, Jete, Coín and Almuñécar (Granada/Málaga) and Tavira (Portugal).

TROPS is firmly rooted in the Málaga province: its main classification and packing plant in Vélez-Málaga, inaugurated in 2012, serves as the company's headquarters, and all of its current job openings are listed as on-site ("Presencial") in Vélez-Málaga. Open roles span industrial, electronic and mechatronic engineering, food technology and quality, process engineering, RPA development, and production and warehouse operative positions, reflecting the company's investment in technology and innovation in fruit processing.
