Maintenance Technician

• Previous experience within a facility or maintenance company.
• Experience working in a team.
• Ability to be proactive with strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• User-level skills in MS Office and online systems/databases.
• Reliable, responsible, friendly, and approachable person.

• Also desirable:
• A relevant trade (carpentry, electrician, plumbing...)
• Customer service experience
• Work experience within student accommodation or a similar sector.
• Intermediate English level.

Our Maintenance Technicians ensure that students live their best life by keeping our spaces in the best condition, inside and out.

This is a summary of what you will do:

• Manage the maintenance of our spaces.
• Meet planned and reactive maintenance requirements in line with any service level agreement (such as repairs); carry out first-line maintenance and assist specialized contractors when necessary.
• Complete manual tasks, support waste management, decoration, and small-scale repairs, maintain grounds, and assist the residence team in delivering any other required maintenance services.
• Carry out regular health and safety checks of the protection plan, including those related to fire safety and risk assessments, and legionella testing.
• Ensure the safety of our spaces 24 hours a day and keep an up-to-date record of all events and incidents.
• Support our team of Yugoers. Helping with key tasks during the summer transition period, the summer business, or ensuring the building is ready for new student registrations.
• Support customer service and man the reception desk when necessary.
