Grupo Mesto is a leading business group in gardening and green services on the Iberian Peninsula. They are in the midst of a digital transformation process, implementing Odoo as their corporate ERP and developing a common technology platform that drives efficiency, automation, and data-driven management.

Functions:

The main responsibilities of the role are divided into three major areas:

1. Odoo support and adoption (the heart of the role)

Be the first point of contact for Odoo users across all companies in the group: resolve

day-to-day issues, questions, and blockers.

Train users with very diverse profiles, many of whom have little familiarity with technology. Here,

patience and the ability to explain without jargon are worth as much as knowing Python.

Configure and parameterize Odoo modules: permissions, approval flows, views, reports, custom

fields, templates.

Identify where the tool does not fit the real business process, and propose the solution (sometimes it is

changing the tool, sometimes changing the process).

Maintain functional documentation and training materials.

2. Process improvements and automation

Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone tasks and automate them: Odoo Studio, automated

actions, server rules, scripts, API integrations.

Develop and adapt Odoo modules when the standard does not go far enough.

Connect Odoo with the rest of the stack (field tools, accounting, HR, systems of acquired

companies).

Build reports and dashboards that management and operational managers actually use.

Participate in the technological integration of new acquisitions: data migration, user onboarding,

process unification.

3. IT service management

User onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle management for accounts and access.

Management of the group's devices, equipment, and software.

Coordination with external vendors (connectivity, hosting, telephony, licenses).

Good security practices, backup, and access control.

Be the IT reference for the group, with sound judgment and without unnecessary bureaucracy.

The ideal candidate should have:

Technical training in IT (higher vocational training, engineering degree, or equivalent) or demonstrable experience in the field.

Experience working with Odoo at a technical level, or with other ERPs of similar complexity such as SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, or Sage.

Functional knowledge of Python and SQL, with the ability to read code, write scripts, and understand data models.

Ability to communicate with non-technical users, understanding their needs and translating problems into effective solutions.

Native Spanish or equivalent level.

A valid B driver's license, as occasional visits to the group's work sites will be required.

Availability to work in a hybrid model, combining remote and on-site work (initially 1-2 days on-site per week, after adaptation 1-2 days per month).

Additionally, the following will be valued:

Previous experience in ERP implementations or migrations.

Development of custom modules in Odoo (ORM, XML views, QWeb).

Knowledge of infrastructure such as Linux, Docker, or deployments.

Experience with REST API integrations or automation tools such as Zapier/n8n/Make.

Technical English for working with documentation and vendors.

Experience in operational sectors with field work (construction, facility services, logistics,

maintenance).

Extensive professional experience is not essential. We are looking for sound judgment, curiosity, and a willingness to take responsibility, not fifteen years of experience. If you have the technical foundation and the right attitude, we will build the rest here.
