The role
The role sits within the Business Applications / Finance Systems team and works closely with the wider finance and IT teams.
Supports the day-to-day running and continuous improvement of the billing and business-application landscape (NetSuite, BillingPlatform, and the connected add-ons), working alongside and collaborating closely with the senior specialist.
This is a growth role. You start with guided ownership of specific areas and progressively take on fuller responsibility & accountability as your NetSuite and BillingPlatform knowledge develops, contributing to regulatory and integration projects along the way.
You are expected to build an automation-first habit early: look for the manual step that should not exist and bring a suggestion.
Success looks like reliable day-to-day support of the stack, steady progress toward independent ownership & accountability of assigned areas, and a proactive mindset of spotting and proposing improvements.
What you'll do
- NetSuite administration and configuration: day-to-day operation, maintenance, and small enhancements, in collaboration with the senior specialist on more complex changes.
- Support BillingPlatform configuration, billing logic, and first-line issue resolution, escalating more complex cases as needed.
- Help monitor the health of the billing and business-app landscape and flag issues early.
- Support EU regulatory initiatives such as e-invoicing by helping translate requirements into system changes, under guidance.
- Support in tracking upcoming regulatory changes and contribute to preparing the platform ahead of deadlines.
- Assist in the delivery and documentation of integrations between core systems and add-ons (tax engines, travel and expense tools, and other third-party applications).
- Help keep integration documentation up to date and structured.
- Look for opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve how the billing and business-app stack runs, and bring this forward for discussion.
- Use AI tools and automation to speed up analysis, reduce manual effort, and improve the consistency of output.
- Build the habit of spotting challenges and improvement opportunities early and proactively propose solutions.
- Provide clear & timely updates to finance and business stakeholders on the status of assigned tasks and projects.
- Balance competing priorities and keep stakeholders informed, with support from the senior specialist.
Required experience and skills
- Some hands-on experience with NetSuite administration and configuration, or a strong learning attitude
- Exposure to finance or billing systems, and to the integrations around them.
- Experience contributing to a system or process improvement project, even in a supporting role.
- Willingness to take increasing ownership of a business-systems area over time.
- Proactive working style, asking the right questions and motivated to gradually take more ownership & accountability, genuine interest in AI and automation tools, with some experience using them to work more efficiently.
- Good communication skills, comfortable working with both finance, business and technical colleagues
- Fluent English at C1 level or above
