Food Packaging Quality Control Technician

We are looking for a rigorous, analytical person with a quality orientation, capable of working autonomously and making decisions with technical criteria.

We would like you to bring:

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Chemistry, or a related Higher Vocational Training (CFGS) in chemistry and materials.

• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

• Experience in quality environments, laboratories, or the food industry.

• Ability to analyze and interpret data.

• Knowledge of IT tools and document management.

• Proficiency in Catalan and Spanish.

• Knowledge of English for the interpretation of technical documentation.

• Experience in quality control of packaging or wrapping materials.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP systems.

• Experience in supplier approval and the development of new materials.

• Knowledge of systems such as SAP, Labware, Mapex, or similar quality management tools.

• Experience in continuous improvement projects.

We are looking for a Food Packaging Quality Control Technician to join the Quality department. Your mission will be to ensure that packaging and wrapping materials comply with quality standards, food safety, and current regulations, ensuring that our products reach the consumer with the highest guarantees.

Your main duties will be:

• Perform quality control on the reception of packaging materials.

• Participate in the validation of designs and new packaging formats.

• Provide technical support to production teams regarding aspects related to packaging materials.

• Analyze results, interpret data, and prepare the corresponding reports.

• Manage technical documentation and certificates from packaging material suppliers.

• Prepare and maintain documentation related to the HACCP system.

• Perform the release of conforming products and materials.

• Detect and manage non-conformities, rejecting those materials or products that do not meet the defined specifications.

• Carry out the calibration and verification of laboratory equipment.

• Participate in projects for the development of new materials, supplier approval, and packaging improvements.

• Record and manage incidents, proposing and following up on corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with current legislation regarding quality and food safety.

• Promote good quality, safety, and environmental practices within the company.

You will work in coordination with the Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Supplier departments, actively participating in the continuous improvement of processes and products.
