Desalination Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join our Engineering and Projects team to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects in the areas of desalination, water treatment, and related technologies.

- Analysis and study of the project contractual documentation. Scope statement.
- Definition and validation of the project's technical requirements.
- Lead the planning, monitoring, and execution of the design and construction projects for water treatment plants assigned to you.
- Coordinate the multidisciplinary teams involved in the project, ensuring compliance with deadlines, costs, and quality.
- Supervise the preparation of the technical documentation required for project execution, in direct coordination with the Engineering Manager, ensuring that the delivery milestones set out in the plan are met.
- Supervise procurement management to ensure that the equipment and supplies required for project execution meet the delivery milestones set out in the plan.
- Collaborate in drafting the required PPI programs for the project and ensure their compliance.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors for the execution of assigned projects, both during the workshop construction phase and on-site assembly.
- Carry out the budget control of the project under execution, preparing the monthly closings with the support of the finance team.
- Ensure the correct implementation of applicable technical standards and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering and Projects Director for the strategic alignment of the projects.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation plans.
- Promote continuous improvement in project management processes.
- Act as the point of contact with clients and potential partners.

- Education in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Technical Industrial Engineering, or a degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar positions, leading design and construction projects for desalination plants.
- Advanced knowledge of project management software such as MS Project or similar, and Presto or similar.
- PMP certification or equivalent will be positively valued.
- Spoken and written English skills will be positively valued.
- Leadership, organization, and management skills for multidisciplinary teams.
- Communication, negotiation, and results-oriented skills.
- Availability to travel as required by project needs.
