The Os-Kuro restaurant bases its culinary concept on Japanese tradition combined with the finest raw materials: the freshest fish and seafood from our seas, alongside the best imported products.
A dual space, Sushi Bar and Restaurant, in which light and shadow play with the name itself: Os-Kuro, from the Japanese? (KURO) which means black, transports the diner into an intimate, elegant, and sophisticated atmosphere.
At the bar that reigns on the ground floor, we find the sushiman showcasing his excellent technique when working with raw ingredients. On the upper floor, the mastery of robatayaki, the ancestral Japanese charcoal grill in which we cook products such as red prawns, Iberian pork, or octopus, is part of the Os-Kuro DNA.
Pure excellence and impeccable execution is the motto of the team at the helm of Os-Kuro.
The Os-Kuro sushi team, after years of experience in the world of sushi, is highly demanding with koshihikari variety rice, vinegar –black and white– and secondary ingredients such as ponzu or negi (Japanese spring onion). But their talent lies in the cuts that sublimate all types of fish, always changing according to the day's catch, as well as the precise execution of seafood and bivalves.
A sake sommelier offers the diner a tasting journey from simplicity and fun. A selection of 11 sake references composes a surprising possibility at Os-Kuro to approach the universe of this fascinating and unique beverage.
The Os-Kuro restaurant is born with elegance, flavor, and an evolutionary spirit in its soul. Its projection, from the beginning, is to become a great Japanese restaurant in Barcelona, just a few meters from Paseo de Gracia.
Currently, we are looking for a 2nd Assistant Restaurant Manager for the Os-Kuro Restaurant located within the Hotel Claris 5*GL (Barcelona, Eixample).
Job mission: Plan, organize, and supervise the daily operations of the restaurant and bar service, coordinating the front-of-house and kitchen teams to guarantee an efficient and high-quality service. The 2nd Assistant Restaurant Manager ensures the correct functioning of the service, customer satisfaction, compliance with operating procedures, and support for the department's commercial actions.
Reports to: Restaurant Manager.
Functions:
- Define the processes to follow before (table setting), during, and after (cleaning, preparation for subsequent services) the service, and provide the necessary instructions to ensure customer service, quality levels, and desired economic results.
- Responsible for the planning, direction, and control of day-to-day operations.
- Manage and control the tasks of the waiter team for the efficient provision of services.
- Collaborate with the Hotel's Front of House Manager in stock control.
- Coordinate with our service staff to guarantee appropriate preparation, taking into account special requests and food allergies
