What we're looking for

Demonstrable experience of at least 5 years in a similar position, managing projects autonomously and without direct supervision.
Experience in team management, including coordination, development, and performance monitoring of the staff in charge.
Solid knowledge of international freight transport in all its modalities: air, sea, land, and multimodal.
Advanced knowledge in customs management and corresponding regulations.
Proficiency in Spanish (C1 or native).
High level of English; knowledge of additional languages will be positively valued.
Schedule flexibility and availability to travel according to operational needs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
High orientation to detail and great analytical capacity.
Strong organizational skills and ability to structure information, coordinate projects, and manage multiple interlocutors.
Demonstrated capacity for decision-making and leadership, especially in dynamic and high-demand environments.
Ability to work effectively in teams and in multidisciplinary environments.
Ability to manage stress situations, crises, and conflict resolution.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing appropriately in complex situations.

At DHL Global Forwarding, we are looking for a Global Event Logistics Manager Spain (m/f/n) to lead the team in charge of event and trade fair logistics for our Madrid office.

What do we expect from you as part of the best specialized team?

What you'll do

Your main functions and responsibilities would be the following:

Leadership, management, and development of the Global Event Logistics (GEL) Department
Comprehensive project management, from the sales phase to execution, coordinating effectively with various internal departments and external providers
Responsible for the fulfillment of the GEL department's annual budget
Business acquisition in line with the company's global, regional, and local strategy
Sales: preparation of commercial proposals and design of the most convenient solution for each opportunity, accompanying as a subject matter expert
Expansion and maintenance of the GEL client portfolio
Negotiation and agreement of rates with providers
Customer Service: instructions, coordination, and personalized and customized attention to clients.
Various administrative tasks related to the department's activity
Representing the company at trade fairs and events when necessary, acting as the area's point of contact.
Maintaining direct and continuous communication with the international GEL network, ensuring correct operational and commercial coordination
Any other function related to the position that contributes to the good performance and success of the department.
