Air and Sea Freight Sales Executive

• Previous experience in the commercial area of at least 2 years in similar roles and in forwarding companies. Experience with air freight customers is highly valued.
• Customer orientation, results orientation, and working towards objectives.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• User-level proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of air and ocean freight logistics products.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Driving license and availability for occasional travel.

At DHL Global Forwarding, we are looking for a Sales Executive to join our Barcelona team, reporting to the Field Sales Manager, and located in Parc Logistics (Barcelona).

What do we expect from you as part of the best commercial team in Europe?

• Acquiring new air and ocean freight customers; primarily air freight, which will be your area of expertise.
• Consultative selling offering value-added services.
• Maintaining and developing gross profit and volumes from existing customers.
• Active commercial management of business opportunities, recording them in the CRM and updating their status weekly.
• Conducting visits to assigned customers, both existing and potential.
• Recording visits and the information obtained during them in the CRM.
• Reviewing accepted quotes before their expiration, updating their new terms and expiration dates.
• Preparing and carrying out sales campaigns organized in accordance with the defined annual strategy, regarding areas, countries, products, and value-added services.
• Preparing all information related to the implementation of new customers, to ensure the proper development of the start-up of new businesses and customers (credit application, loading rates into the system, operational instructions, etc.).
