About the role

We are looking to hire a FEM ANALYSIS SPECIALIST ENGINEER to work on different nuclear power plant projects, joining the Mechanical and Process Department at our Madrid office.

What you'll do


Responsibilities/Job functions:

  • Design and calculation of mechanical components, pressure/vacuum components, seismic qualification, and supports.

  • Use of design and analysis tools; finite element software (e.g., ANSYS), 3D design (SolidWorks/Catia).

  • Drafting, review, or verification of technical documentation supporting calculations: calculation reports, design reports, studies, data sheets, specifications, and component descriptions, etc.

  • Development of mechanical component and system designs in coordination with drafting teams for the issuance of drawings for new equipment or modifications and their layout.

  • Integration of codes, standards, and design criteria, including regulatory ones such as CSN/NRC/ASME/RCC-M applicable to the nuclear field, into design activities.

What we're looking for

Requirements

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering or a Master's in Industrial Engineering, with a Bachelor's in Industrial Technologies Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Industrial Chemical Engineering.

  • Knowledge of nuclear regulations.

  • At least 5 years of experience in analysis and design using FEM tools for mechanical components such as pressure equipment or support structures for such equipment.

  • Professional English, minimum B2.

  • Availability for short-term travel abroad.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of detailed systems engineering, thermo-mechanical calculations, seismic qualification analysis, etc., will be valued. Knowledge of SMRs will also be valued.
