What we're looking for
Degree in Electronic, Telecommunications, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in BMS/SCADA commissioning and programming for building projects (hotel, premium residential, hospital, or similar).
Strong knowledge of communication protocols
Experience programming controllers from at least one of the major manufacturers
Working knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical installations, sufficient to understand control logic.
Ability to read and interpret control schematics, flow diagrams, and point schedules.
Willingness to reside in Mexico and travel within the country.
Nice to have
Previous experience in international projects or expatriate contexts.
Knowledge of applicable Mexican regulations (NOM) for installations and control systems.
Certifications on BMS platforms (Niagara N4, Desigo CC, EcoStruxure, Metasys, etc.).
Experience in energy management system integration and IoT monitoring.
Previous experience in the hotel or luxury residential sector.

The role
At Estel, we are specialists in comprehensive installations (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, telecommunications, and trigeneration) for premium and highly complex hotel and residential projects. With an international presence across multiple countries, we are looking to hire a BMS Commissioning Manager for our projects in Mexico. You will join the commissioning team, reporting to the Commissioning Team Manager, playing a key role in the commissioning, programming, and validation of the building management systems. The position is open to both local profiles and candidates willing to relocate from Spain.
What you'll do
Execute and supervise the commissioning of the project's BMS/SCADA systems: programming, configuration, parametrization, and validation of controllers and supervisory stations.
Verify the correct integration of all subsystems into the BMS: HVAC, lighting, energy metering, fire protection, access control, plumbing, and other connected systems.
Perform point-to-point testing, control sequence testing, trends, and alarms, ensuring the proper operation of all programmed logic.
Coordinate with the Electromechanical Manager the joint validation of field devices against BMS signals and commands.
Configure graphical user interfaces, dashboards, and energy monitoring and reporting systems.
Prepare BMS testing technical reports, programming documentation (point schedules, control logic, parameters), and operation manuals for the end client.
Train the client's operation and maintenance staff on the use and management of the BMS system.
Troubleshoot integration and communication issues between systems (BACnet, Modbus, LON, KNX, DALI protocols, etc.).
Report progress, issues, and status of BMS commissioning activities to the Commissioning Team Manager.
