Innovation Manager – Polymeric and Composites Processes (PCP)

The Polymeric and Composites Processes (PCP) Unit develops new plastic and composite materials, researches advanced manufacturing processes, and validates materials and technologies before their industrial application. The unit collaborates with companies from different sectors on R&D&i projects oriented towards the development of new materials, processes, and innovative solutions.

The selected person will drive the identification, structuring, and development of innovation opportunities, connecting the unit's scientific and technological capabilities with market needs to favor the generation of new initiatives, the valorization of knowledge, strategic positioning, and the development of high-impact projects.

They will act as a link between the unit's technical team and the innovation ecosystem, promoting collaboration with companies, public administrations, research centers, and other key agents.

Likewise, they will collaborate with the Business Development areas and other teams involved in the generation of new opportunities, the preparation of proposals, and the creation of strategic collaborations that contribute to the unit's growth.

What will your main functions be?

• Identify, analyze, and develop R&D&i opportunities aligned with the unit's capabilities and market needs.
• Transform scientific-technological capabilities into value propositions for companies and public administrations.
• Drive and conceptualize new innovation initiatives, defining their value proposition, impact potential, and feasibility.
• Participate in the preparation of strategic R&D&i proposals and projects.
• Promote the transfer and valorization of R&D&i results, identifying opportunities for the application and exploitation of knowledge.
• Establish and consolidate relationships with companies, public administrations, research centers, and other agents of the innovation ecosystem.
• Represent the unit in national and international networks, platforms, events, and consortia.
• Perform technological and market surveillance to identify trends and new growth opportunities.

Education

• University degree in Engineering, Science, or related disciplines.
• We value a master's or postgraduate degree in innovation, technology transfer, business development, or related fields.

• Knowledge of the polymeric materials and composite materials sector.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and transformation processes for plastic and composite materials.
• Experience in advanced materials and advanced manufacturing.
• Experience in industrial and technological environments related to the development of materials, processes, or products.
• Participation in collaborative R&D&i projects with companies.
