The role

Eurecat's Water, Air and Soil (WAS) technological unit develops and optimizes technologies and processes to improve the management of water, soil, and air, as well as associated resources. We carry out research, development, and innovation projects with companies from all sectors to improve their economic, environmental, and social sustainability.

We use advanced modeling and experimentation tools at different scales (laboratory, pilot plant, and real scale) to develop and validate new technologies and their applications. We work with a wide variety of pollutant treatment technologies to limit their release into the natural environment, as well as for resource recovery and supporting the transition towards a circular economy.

We design projects and experimental procedures tailored to companies, reducing the intrinsic risk of R&D&i through a progressive implementation that spans from conceptualization to commissioning, passing through all development stages.

The unit's expertise, combined with the capabilities of Eurecat's different technological units, allows us to provide solutions to complex and specific problems in a wide variety of sectors: water treatment, chemical industry, agri-food, pharmaceutical, basic industries, and capital goods industries, among others.

Eurecat requires a profile for the WAS UT for project execution and support in the preparation of national and international R&D&i proposals in the environmental sector, specifically in the treatment of contaminated soils and groundwater.

A job position is offered in a very dynamic environment, participating in applied research activities with public and private companies at different scales (laboratory, pilot plant, and real environments) for a wide variety of sectors: urban, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, mining, etc. The main objective is the research and development of innovative projects in the field of hydrogeology for better management of soils and groundwater, in order to boost the economic, environmental, and social sustainability of the business fabric and society in general.
