Senior Financial Regulatory Lawyer - Madrid

The opportunity

EY Abogados has a team of expert lawyers specialized in various business sectors, allowing us to offer legal advisory services based on sector-specific knowledge.

As part of the Legal & Regulatory Practice in the Financial Services area at EY, you will have the opportunity to advise credit institutions, investment services companies, and insurance entities operating in our market, across all their business areas and activities, whether for their own needs or in their operations with clients.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for professionals with 3 to 5 years of experience specialized in providing legal advice to credit institutions, investment services companies, and insurance entities, particularly in:

• Regulatory advisory services in the financial sector, for both domestic and international financial institutions.

• Projects related to adapting policies and contracts to applicable conduct rules (e.g., MiFID, Banking Transparency, IDD, Consumer Credit).

• Knowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to the prevention of market abuse and manipulation.

• Authorization and registration files for regulated entities (credit institutions, investment firms, SGIICs) and/or vehicles (e.g., collective investment undertakings, private equity entities, etc.).

• Development of internal policies and procedures regarding money laundering prevention, among others.

They should also have a strong aptitude for teamwork, be able to take on responsibilities commensurate with their experience, and be interested in working in an international and multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements

• A degree in Law, Law and Business Administration, and a Master's degree for admission to the Bar.

• A high level of spoken and written English.

Formando parte de la Práctica Legal y Regulatorio del área de Servicios Financieros de EY tendrás la oportunidad de asesorar a entidades de crédito, empresas de servicios de inversión y entidades aseguradoras que operan en nuestro mercado, en todas sus áreas de negocio y actividades, ya sea por sus necesidades propias como en sus operaciones con clientes.

¿Qué buscamos?

Buscamos profesionales con 3 a 5 años de experiencia especializados en el asesoramiento legal a entidades de crédito, empresas de servicios financieros y entidades aseguradoras, especialmente en:

• Asesoramiento regulatorio en el sector financiero, tanto a entidades financieras nacionales como internacionales.

• Proyectos relacionados con adaptación de políticas y contratos a normas de conducta aplicables (e.g. MiFID, Transparencia Bancaria, IDD, Crédito al Consumo)

• Conocimiento del marco regulatorio aplicable a la prevención de abuso y manipulación de mercado,

• Expedientes de autorización e inscripción de entidades reguladas (agencias de valores, sociedades de valores, SGIIC) y/o vehículos (e.g. instituciones de inversión colectiva, entidades de capital riesgo, etc)

• Elaboración de políticas y procedimientos internos en materia de prevención de blanqueo de capitales, entre otros.

Tendrán asimismo vocación de trabajo en equipo, pudiendo asumir las responsabilidades propias de su experiencia y estarán interesados en un ambiente internacional y multidisciplinar.

Requisitos

• Grado en Derecho, Derecho y ADE, y Máster de Acceso a la Abogacía.

• Nivel alto de inglés hablado y escrito.
