🔔 We are offering a position for an Assistant Manager to work at El Fuerte Marbella, the first hotel founded by the company. It opened its doors in 1957 and, after a complete renovation, reopened in 2023 as a 5-star hotel.

El Fuerte Marbella, located on the beachfront in the center of Marbella, offers stunning sea views along the promenade and the Mediterranean, and is just a 5-minute walk from Plaza de los Naranjos. The purpose of the position is to efficiently manage the hotel towards achieving financial goals, guest satisfaction, and improving the corporate image, established within the hotel's standards, according to new trends, existing policies and procedures, as well as available and applicable resources.

Your day-to-day will sound like this...

• In the absence of the General Manager, you will be responsible for assuming the duties of their immediate superior.
• Collaborate on proposals for objectives, guest satisfaction targets, and annual budgets for personnel expenses, raw materials, energy resources, hotel maintenance, facilities, operational equipment, and others, together with Management and Department Heads, minimizing variances.
• Collaborate with Management and Department Heads, based on the company's strategic definitions, on proposals for objectives, guest satisfaction targets, and annual budgets for personnel expenses, raw materials, energy resources, hotel maintenance, facilities, operational equipment, and others.
• Supervise the hotel's financial results for assigned budget lines, as well as their variances, preparing proposals for corrective measures to achieve these results.
• Support the supervision of guest satisfaction results, as well as sharing them with the rest of the Department Heads, involving them in the process of designing proposals and making decisions to achieve these objectives.
• Collaborate with the General Manager in managing CAPEX with the Ownership.
• Support the design of pricing policies, as well as for the hotel's different services.
• Apply discounts or authorize their application, taking into account existing regulations on this matter, in the absence of the General Manager.
• Support audits carried out by external and internal consultants and manage their results.
• Participate in receiving, welcoming, and attending to hotel guests, especially in cases of VIP clients and visitors.
• Personally handle and analyze incidents and complaints from guests of greater significance, sensitivity, or severity, in the absence of the General Manager, whether in person and/or on social media and different online booking portals, with the aim of minimizing complaints.
• Ensure and oversee the condition and maintenance of the hotel's facilities, as well as compliance with the standards of the operational atmosphere manual.
• Communicate and oversee the communication of departmental objectives to staff, as well as monitoring critical processes and implementation through daily briefings conducted by Department Heads, in accordance with the standards established by the hotel.
• Participate in the evaluation and collaborate in the training and development of members of the Management team and other hotel departments, according to the methodology established by Human Resources, as well as managing the onboarding process.
• Perform other duties within the scope of their responsibilities as requested by their direct supervisor.
