Solution Architect (Banking) - Google Cloud Platform

• More than 7 years of professional experience as a Solution Architect or Cloud Architect.
• Proven experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of architectural design with a focus on high availability, performance, scalability, observability, and security.
• Ability to perform technical analyses, risk assessments, and technical-economic feasibility studies.
• Professional experience and advanced knowledge of the main GCP services:
  • • Compute: Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
    • Databases: Cloud SQL.
    • Storage: Cloud Storage.
    • Security: IAM, Firewalls, and related services
• Professional experience with Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Advanced English suitable for international projects.

Personal competencies

• Ability to coordinate and follow up on tasks using tools such as JIRA.
• Experience in direct interaction with clients and stakeholders.
• Organization and management of follow-up meetings, coordination, and project planning.
• Experience leading distributed teams.

• Experience with ecosystems and technologies such as DAP, dWeb, Fabric, Oracle, PKI, Snowflake, or other similar corporate platforms will be valued.
• Google Cloud certifications, preferably focused on Cloud Architecture or Data.
• Additional certifications in AWS and/or Azure will be valued.

What are we looking for?

We currently have an open position for a Solution Architect with experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and banking projects who wants to join GFT. It is important to have experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices architectures and distributed systems, including the containerization (dockerization) of components and architecture analysis, taking into account aspects such as latency, high availability, performance, observability, networks, protocols, encryption, authentication, etc. We are also looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person willing to start and grow in a multicultural, motivating, and challenging environment.

Your main responsibilities will be

Although it will depend on your knowledge and experience, in general, the main duties you would carry out with us would be:

• Lead the design and evolution of architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Define and execute technological modernization strategies, including the migration of monolithic applications towards microservices architectures and distributed systems.

• Design solutions considering key architectural aspects such as availability, performance, scalability, latency, observability, security, networking, protocols, encryption, authentication, and certificate management. Ensure compliance with architectural standards, best practices, and technological governance principles.

• Prepare technical analyses and cost-benefit evaluations for technological decision-making. Implement and automate infrastructures using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform), CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and Python scripting.

• Collaborate with clients and technical teams in highly regulated and complex environments, especially within the banking sector. Lead and coordinate distributed teams, planning activities, managing tasks in Jira, and performing continuous monitoring of projects and stakeholders.
