The role

We are looking to hire an IT Support Technician - User Support (Helpdesk) to serve the university community, ensuring the correct functioning of equipment, applications, and communications.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical support to internal users, in person, remotely, or by telephone.
  • Manage, register, and track incidents using ticketing tools, controlling their status (open, closed, or cancelled) and resolution times.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and resolve incidents related to equipment, applications, connectivity, and user environments.
  • Escalate incidents to other technical areas when necessary, ensuring adequate communication and follow-up.
  • Provide technical support in classrooms and guarantee the operability of teaching technological resources.
  • Participate in the installation and configuration of IT equipment, including telephony, cabling networks, and other technological elements, following established standards.
  • Support the maintenance and support of the network (cabling, wifi), telephony, and perimeter security, contributing to ensuring service stability.
  • Collaborate in the management and control of IT assets (hardware and software), including support in procurement processes.
  • Identify recurring incidents and propose improvements to optimize the service and prevent future problems.
