Requirements
What we're looking for
You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in e-commerce, in an agency, a consultancy firm, or in-house. You know the end-to-end processes and market platforms, you enjoy advising and challenging a client, and you have already managed a project with a team.
What matters above all is your e-commerce business credibility and your ability to translate it into a product using AI.
E-commerce expertise: catalog and PIM, checkout funnel, payment, OMS and logistics, customer relations, marketplace.
Consulting and product vision: reasoned recommendations, roadmap, prioritization by value.
Vibe coding (mandatory): you have proven practice with Claude Code, Lovable, or other LLMs, up to producing a usable front-end, and a critical eye on what they produce.
Business scoping: business rules, workflows, edge cases, data, and third-party integrations.
Project management: schedule, budget, risks, steering committees, agile methods.
Figma, VS Code, Git/GitHub, Jira, and Notion.
Advisory posture: you challenge your client and bring a vision, rather than documenting a dictated need.
Workshop facilitation: you bring out needs, user journeys and priorities, all the way to the MVP.
Decision-making spirit: you make calls, you take responsibility, and you stay the course.
Leadership: you unite a project team without hierarchical links.
Communication: you bridge the gap between the business, tech, and the client.
Nice to have
Knowledge of an e-commerce platform (Adobe Commerce / Magento, Sylius, OroCommerce, commercetools…) or a PIM (Akeneo)
Ability to read React, Laravel/Livewire, or Symfony to communicate with the Tech Lead
Notions of AI governance: GDPR, AI Act, FinOps
Initial experience in pre-sales
Education & certifications
- Education level: Master's Degree (Bac +5)

What you'll get
A rare role: you combine consulting, product, and AI-assisted building, from the first client workshop to production deployment.
AI-powered delivery: you work with generative AI, vibe coding, and development agents on a daily basis.
Impact: you carry the vision and the decisions for your e-commerce projects.
Varied projects: brands, retail, wholesale, with different business challenges every time.
A complete team around you: Tech Lead, Product Builder, developers, and UX/UI designers.
Barcelona: you join our main hub, where approximately 70% of our teams work.
The role
Hello Pomelo is looking for a Product Manager e-commerce, on a VIE contract in Barcelona, to join our e-commerce department.
In short: you advise our e-commerce clients, you scope their projects, you prototype journeys using vibe coding with generative AI, and you lead the project team through to production.
What you'll do
You are both the e-commerce business expert and the project Product Manager: you are the one holding the thread, from client consulting through to production deployment. You understand the business, you carry the vision, you prototype the product, and you get it built.
You advise our clients on their e-commerce strategy: success criteria, industry best practices, choice of solutions and platforms.
You write the scoping document and defend your recommendations before management, the business units, marketing, and IT.
You build the product vision and roadmap, and you arbitrate priorities between expected value and effort, alongside the Tech Lead.
You personally facilitate discovery workshops: you run the workshop, you frame the questions, and you steer any deviations.
You map out client processes: catalog and PIM, checkout funnel, payment, logistics, customer relations.
You write business rules and edge cases in a format directly usable by AI and developers, and you scope data and integrations (ERP, PIM, payment, carriers).
You transform business rules into user journeys, then into a functional prototype built with AI (Claude Code, Lovable…) to validate hypotheses with the client.
You know how to produce a complete front-end. On a project, the Product Builder builds it: you challenge them and validate it against business requirements.
You maintain a critical eye on what the AI produces, and you correct it as soon as it doesn't align with real-world usage.
You manage the schedule, milestones, risks, and budget, and you facilitate steering committees with the client.
You functionally manage the project team: Tech Lead, Product Builder, developers.
You validate user acceptance testing and make the decision for production deployment. Your rule: being "compliant with the ticket" is not enough; it must work for the user.
You define the framework for AI usage on your projects: selected tools, authorized data, human review.
You ensure compliance (GDPR, AI Act) and monitor AI usage costs.
- About 30% of your time: understanding needs, making recommendations, scoping commercial proposals
