The Operations Management, through the Operations Directorate and the Technical Office and Flight Support Management, needs to fill a position for a Flight Operations Engineer reporting directly to the Navigation Manager.

The professional challenge of the position is to develop, maintain, and optimize the navigation information required for safe, efficient, and compliant operations, through the analysis, study, and validation of aerodromes, routes, airspaces, instrument procedures, navigation databases, cartography, and associated systems, ensuring the quality and updating of operational documentation.

Responsibilities

Technical analysis, operational support, and continuous improvement

  • Providing support to the different areas of the company, especially Flight Dispatch/OCC, Fleet Managers, Crews, Performance, SMS, and Training.
  • Analyzing incidents, operational reports, audit findings, or events related to navigation, proposing preventive, corrective, or improvement actions when applicable.
  • Analyzing operational data from completed flights through statistical studies and the use of information from operational systems, to identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities related to routes, aerodromes, navigation, operational efficiency, and safety.
  • Providing support to audits, inspections, and compliance verification processes related to Flight Operations, operational documentation, navigation, operational approvals, or suppliers.
  • Participating in projects to improve processes, digitalization, automation, and tools related to navigation and flight planning.

Essential requirements for the position

  • Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • B2 level of English or higher.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Will be valued

  • Previous experience in an airline, especially in flight operations engineering, flight dispatch, performance, or technical areas.
  • Knowledge of aerodromes, air navigation, flight planning, procedure design, aeronautical charts, and AIS/AIP documentation.
  • Knowledge of software related to Flight Operations: planning programs, cartography applications, performance, OpenAirlines, or other operational analysis tools.
  • Programming and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of AIR OPS operational regulations.

Personal characteristics and management skills

We are looking for a person with the following competencies:

  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Global vision and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Initiative, autonomy, and ability to learn.
  • Interpersonal communication and assertiveness.
  • Ability to work in dynamic operational environments with changing information.
