Education

• Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil Engineering, Technical Architecture, or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions in chemical plants, refining, petrochemical, or industrial process facilities.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in plants built or operating under Repsol, SK, or equivalent specifications.
• Advanced computer skills at a user level, especially Microsoft 365.

• Experience in advanced Excel, Power BI, SAP, MS Project, Therefore, OpenPlant, AutoCAD, Navisworks, MicroStation, or other applicable tools will be valued. Knowledge of AI tools.

We are currently looking for a MULTIDISCIPLINARY PROJECT ENGINEER to join a major company in the industrial sector, in Cartagena.

• Supervise, organize, and review the design and construction of assigned projects.
• Coordinate the objectives of the Annual Investment Plan in accordance with quality, safety, environment, cost, and deadline.
• Define the scope of projects with the requesting areas, analyze alternatives, and select the most efficient technical solution.
• Coordinate project disciplines and relationships with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Technical Services, Purchasing, Safety, Environment, and other departments.
• Ensure that work is executed properly in collaboration with construction supervisors.
• Evaluate contractors involved in projects under their responsibility.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, design standards, calculation procedures, and data sheets within their specialty.
• Verify that external engineering designs comply with specifications, legislation, and applicable regulations.
• Activate purchasing processes to meet the delivery deadlines of each project.
• Prepare purchasing specifications, analyze offers, manage technical tabulations, and coordinate with Purchasing.
• Perform supplier follow-up, material documentation, reception, SAP, and final book management.
• Integrate cost information, budgets, economic control, and preparation of the investment budget.
• Prepare investment studies, including ordinary basic engineering, economic analysis, and technical feasibility.
• Support the SGD and ensure that technical documentation is correctly integrated into the document management systems.
• Manage work permits, legalizations, FAT, and applicable procedures according to the project scope.
• If necessary, attendance at FAT tests for the verification of the purchase of equipment or a system. If the FAT tests were in locations that made travel other than a round trip on the same day necessary, the expenses incurred would be considered Reimbursable Expenses separate from the service, with the corresponding justifications (hotel invoice, per diems, etc.)
• Manage and resolve deficiencies in new projects and legacy projects.
