Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in planning and scheduling on major CAPEX projects and programmes.
  • Advanced proficiency in planning tools, ideally Primavera P6.
  • Strong experience with schedule reporting and analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to review and assure contractor schedules and progress submissions, including critical path and baseline integrity.
  • Strong understanding of the schedule, risk and change interface, including baseline control, time impact awareness and recovery planning.
  • Fluent English is required.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to communicate complex schedule matters clearly and credibly.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Confidence in escalating deviations and critical issues appropriately.
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to influence across multiple teams and external partners.
  • Greek and/or Spanish language skills would be an advantage.

The role

Sani/Ikos Group is seeking a Planning Manager to strengthen schedule governance across major CAPEX projects and programmes. In this role, you will ensure compliance with SIG planning standards, support robust schedule control, and help drive consistent, high-quality planning practices across contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

What you'll do

You will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and maintaining scheduling standards, including coding structures, calendars, progress rules and reporting cut-offs.
  • Developing, reviewing and maintaining integrated project schedules across all project stages in close coordination with Delivery teams and external partners.
  • Supporting schedule baseline governance, including baseline set-up, version control and baseline change submissions with full traceability through change control.
  • Reviewing, challenging and validating contractor and consultant programmes, with particular focus on logic quality, resource and constraint realism, critical path integrity and deliverable integration.
  • Delivering accurate progress measurement and forecasting, including weekly and monthly updates, look-ahead planning, progress curves and clear schedule narratives.
  • Identifying schedule risks, opportunities, constraints and interface issues, and supporting mitigation and recovery planning with project teams.
  • Providing reliable schedule reporting inputs for project, portfolio and executive dashboards.
  • Mentoring planners, supporting quality assurance and contributing to knowledge sharing across the planning community.
