Manager Forensic Engineering

Education: Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mining Engineering. Master's degree in Civil, Industrial or Building Engineering
Required experience: more than 6 years in construction, infrastructure, energy, industrial, building, EPC projects, etc.
Experience in consulting environments (claims consulting, dispute advisory, project advisory...)
Knowledge of delay analysis protocols from the Society of Construction Law (SCL) and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACEi)Ability to understand technical and contractual documentation: contracts, drawings, specifications, measurements, certifications, schedules, change orders, progress reports, project economic documentation, etc.)

Practical knowledge of construction claims (delays, extension of time, prolongation costs, execution cost overruns, change orders, re-contracting, project final account, acceleration, loss of productivity...)

In KPMG's Forensic Engineering team, we provide our assistance as independent experts in the field of technical disputes arising during the development of Engineering and Construction projects in sectors such as Energy, Infrastructure, Industry, Oil & Gas, Building, etc. Our work focuses on determining the technical merit of a claim, particularly those relating to delays and loss of productivity arising during project development, also carrying out the economic quantification of the damages and losses that may derive from such claim. Our work culminates in the preparation of expert reports submitted to judicial or arbitration proceedings, and subsequently, in attending to ratify such reports before the courts or arbitral tribunals, subjecting ourselves to scrutiny by the disputing parties.
We are looking for a Manager - Forensic Engineer to develop the following duties:

• Intervening in major construction disputes, contributing to the development of delay analyses in accordance with the most internationally recognized methodologies (SCL, AACEi, etc).
• Participating in the economic quantification of the damages and losses arising from these delays.

To do so, you will be part of a team of highly recognized professionals on the international scene, being able to complete your professional training in this sector of activity with them. Likewise, this position will allow you to work directly with clients and their legal advisors, as well as to participate in hearings for the ratification of expert reports in which you are involved.

Your professional development will take place within an international environment, allowing you to collaborate with clients and lawyers of very different nationalities and to interact with them in Spanish or English.
